First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had talks with Minister of Defence of the Republic of Paraguay Diogenes Martinez in Belgrade today.
Defence Minister Martinez is visiting the Republic of Serbia, at the invitation of Yugoimport-SDPR state-owned company, to get acquainted with the capacities and capabilities of the Serbian defence industry.
In the talks, both sides were pleased with the visit paid by Paraguay’s official, which was expected to give impetus to the promotion of bilateral political dialogue, and also to the development of economic cooperation, particularly in the field of defence industry.
Minister Dacic expressed his gratitude for the principled support of Paraguay concerning non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of so-called “Kosovo” and underscored the interest of the Serbian side for exchanging visits between the two countries’ Foreign Ministers as well as for visa liberalization.
