Thanks to a donation of Sweden and help from the city of Pancevo, a new sanitary landfill in Pancevo was officially put into operation on October 28, 2015. This new sanitary landfill, the eighth regional sanitary landfill in Serbia, was officially opened by Mr. Saša Pavlov, Mayor of the City of Pančevo, His Excellency Mr. Christer Asp, Swedish Ambassador, Ms. Stana Božović, State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection and Ms. Milica Jovanović, Director of the PUC „Higijena“ Pančevo were present at the opening event and addressed the participants.
