Two Swedish films are in the program of the international documentary film festival BELDOCS this year. The festival will take place 12-18 May and film screenings will be located in different venues in Belgrade.

The movie Tzvetanka will be screened at the Yugoslav Cinemateque on Friday 13 May at 19:00. Born in a wealthy family, Tzvetanka pаssionately dreamed of becoming an actress as a child, but the history of her country completely changed her destiny. The film is Swedish/Bulgarian and made by Youllan Tabakov. Read more about the screening here.

The other Swedish movie that is participating in the film festival is Becoming Zlatan by Fredrik and Magnus Gertten. The decisive years of Swedish soccer player Zlatan Ibrahimović, told  through rare archive footage in which a young Zlatan speaks openly about his life and challenges. The film closely follows him, from his debut with the Malmö FF team in 1999 through his conflict-ridden years with Ajax Amsterdam, and up to his final breakthrough with Juventus in 2005. Becoming Zlatan is a coming-of-age film that captures the complicated journey of this young, talented and troubled player as he becomes a superstar in the international  football world. Becomin Zlatan will be screened Sunday 15 May, 16:00 at Youth Center Belgrade, and Monday 16 May 21:00 at Cinema Fontana. Read more here.
