In the course of his visit to the People’s Republic of China, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic was received by Vice President of the People’s Republic of China Li Yuanchao.

The interlocutors noted that the bilateral relations between their countries where on a continuous upswing in all areas, characterized by a high level of mutual confidence and support, which was of vital interest.

Vice President Li informed the Serbian Foreign Minister of the development goals and the reform agenda of the PR of China. They confirmed the importance of the synergy between the “Belt and Road” initiative and Serbia’s national development strategy, reflected in joint projects – the bridge on the Danube, segment of E763 motorway, cross-border Belgrade – Budapest railway modernization project and the privatization of Smederevo Steelworks.

Vice President Li recalled the good memories of his first visit to Serbia more than thirty years ago, while Minister Dacic invited him to pay another visit to Serbia.
