Upon arrival in the United States, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had talks with Hoyt Yee, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in charge of US policy towards Serbia and the Western Balkans 6.
The two officials positively assessed the bilateral relations between their countries, referring particularly to their further promotion, and concluding that it was important to increase mutual trade and US investment in Serbia.
Serbian Foreign Minister and Hoyt Yee discussed the Belgrade – Pristina dialogue. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State emphasized that the US fully supported the dialogue, easing of tension and direct communication.
It was assessed that the regional cooperation was burdened with the past, and that the relations in the region could be enhanced only with the engagement of Serbia.
