SERBIA HAS GREAT OPPORTUNITIES FOR A GREEN FUTURE
Serbia is on a good path towards developing a new economic model based on green growth through more intensive use of digitalisation, circular economy, adoption of innovative solutions for greater decarbonisation and better utilisation of renewable energy resources. This goal is particularly important in a situation where the COVID-19 pandemic has shown how closely human health is tied to the planet and that renewal must be socially and economically sustainable.
In achieving the goals of the green transition, not only Serbia receives substantial professional, technical and financial assistance from its European partners and financial institutions. But Serbia also has the opportunity to apply German experiences, transfer technologies and expand its cooperation with companies from Germany which is not only the strongest EU economy, but also a leader in the use of green solutions for long-term sustainable growth.

The A1 Serbia company presented awards to selected projects under the auspices of the socially responsible programme “The world you want”. The three super finalists received financial support from A1 in a total amount of 10 million dinars for the implementation of ideas designed aimed to improve public health, education and ecology.
During the two weeks of online voting, people had the opportunity to support the desired project and thus influence the final distribution of funds.

Montenegro’s tourist offer successfully promoted in Serbia
In cooperation with the Embassy of Montenegro in Serbia, the National Tourist Organization Montenegro, public enterprise Morsko Dobro and local tourist organizations held a promotion of Montenegro’s latest tourist offer in Belgrade under the auspices of the regional roadshow campaign.
As part of the promotion in Belgrade, which took place at the Children’s Cultural Centre of the City of Belgrade, a children’s exhibition was staged on the topic of a holiday plan for children aged seven to fourteen, which was officially opened by the NTO Montenegro director, Ana Tripković Marković, and DKC director, Dragan Marić.

Celebrated Africa Day
The group of African Ambassadors accredited to Serbia is celebrating Africa Day today, May 25th, which is also the Friendship Day between Serbia and Africa.
H.E. Abdelhamid Chebchoub, Ambassador of Algeria, Dean of the group of African Ambassadors underlined on this occasion the will of African countries to meet the challenges the continent is facing.
He recalled in this regard the role played by the continental organization, the African Union in the preservation of peace and stability, in the process of economic development and the strengthening of solidarity between the African peoples.

Meeting with the ambassadors of the French-speaking countries in Serbia
In cooperation with Color Media Communications, the J’aime la France association held an important online conference called “Meeting with the ambassadors of the French-speaking countries in Serbia: The potential for tourism and economic cooperation in the new normal”, which was held on 19th May 2021.
The conference participants agreed that joint effort and activities could boost cooperation between the French-speaking countries and Serbia, and this conference was a good example of how bilateral relations between Serbia and the countries, which ambassadors took part in the conference, could improve.
