The U.S. Embassy in Belgrade informs U.S. citizens that on Wednesday, December 13, Red Star will play Partizan at 6:00pm at Partizan Stadiumin Belgrade.  This is a high risk event because of animosity between the teams’ fans and frequent clashes in and around the stadium. Expect a large police presence in the area and around town. Traffic problems should be expected.

Even events and demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence.  You should avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
