First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had talks today with Minister of State of the Republic of India Jitendra Singh.
Minister Dacic underlined that the visit by Minister of State of India Jitendra Singh was a confirmation of the very good political relations existing between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of India and of the willingness to strengthen traditional ties between the two countries that are characterized by openness, mutual appreciation and friendship, traditionally anchored in the Non-Aligned Movement.
In the cordial and friendly talks, the two sides expressed mutual interest in further promotion of all forms of cooperation, particularly in economy. They also expressed expectation that high-level visits would take place soon and that, as a result of a favourable business climate in Serbia, there would be more Indian investments in the Serbian economy.
The Head of Serbian diplomacy underlined in particular that Serbia highly appreciated the principled position of India concerning the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, as well as its support to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.
Both sides condemned terrorism and all acts contrary to international law, including threats to peace and security.
