First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met with former Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Ángel Moratinos, who is on a visit to Belgrade to participate at the 16th Serbian Economic Summit.
Minister Dacic expressed his satisfaction with having an opportunity to meet with a great friend of Serbia, holder of the Order of the Serbian Flag and an honorary citizen of Belgrade, who had spent a spell of his diplomatic career serving in our country.
It was mutually noted that the bilateral relations between Serbia and Spain were excellent, and that political dialogue as well as cooperation in international organizations were intensive. They underlined that there was room and readiness on both sides for deepening the economic cooperation.
The Head of Serbian diplomacy expressed his gratitude for the firm and principled support of Spain on the key priorities of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, concerning both the European integration process and the position on Kosovo and Metohija.
Also taking part in the talks were Ricard Zapatero, Executive Director, and Juan Antonio March, Advisor on Foreign Relations at FIRA Barcelona Trade Show, who are visiting Belgrade aiming to establish cooperation with the Belgrade Fair.
