First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic extended his good wishes to all the people of Serbia celebrating Easter according to the Gregorian calendar.

“It is my pleasure to extend Easter greetings,on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and on my own behalf, to all members of faiths celebrating Easter according to the Gregorian calendar.

This important feast promotes the freedom of religion, peace, tolerance and respect as the core values of our country. Easter, as the major Christian feast, presents us with an opportunity of recalling these values, while its celebration testifies that theyare embodied in the foundations of our society not only through faith, but also by being the cornerstone of our life together in our multinational and multi-religious society.

I am confident that, at these turbulent times, all the members of religious and minority communities in Serbia are aware of the fact that their everyday life, work and care for their loved ones contribute to the development of our country and our society.

May you celebrate the Easter holiday in peace, good health and with your loved ones, encouraging spiritual growth, understanding and respect”, says Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic in his Easter message.
