The French-Serbian Chamber of Commerce yesterday held its 5th gala dinner which brought together a number of member French and Serbian companies, partners and friends of the Chamber.
The evening was marked by magic and authentic French tunes and there were 200 people from the French-Serbian business environment, representatives of embassies and European institutions. Companies SAMSIC, the European leader in the field of management of maintenance facilities and KPMG, the audit firm were silver and bronze sponsors of the evening.
In his opening address to the participants were addressed by Dragoljub Damljanović (Schneider Electric), President of the French-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, and H E Mrs. Christine Moro, French Ambassador to Serbia. “Because we have the privilege that our members are almost all French companies operating in Serbia, this year we will do our best to increase the number of members of the Serbian companies’s side. In this way, we will, of course, contribute to the synergy of French and Serbian companies, and in general – our core mission – and that is the development of economic relations between our two countries.”, announced Damljanović.
The French ambassador, Ms. Moro, said that bilateral economic cooperation between France and Serbia develops, as evidenced by, inter alia, the new French companies entering the Serbian market. “We have a number of important meetings that should improve our economic cooperation, and the first conference dedicated to the Western Balkan countries, will be held in Paris on July 4, as part of business meetings between companies organised by Business in France and the Franco-Serbian chamber of Commerce. The second Day of Serbia in Paris, will also be organised by two institutions aimed at the development of bilateral economic relations, and it will be held on 15th September, “announced Moro.
At the Gala evening awarded the Grand Prix prize of the French-Serbian Chamber of Commerce. The Nedeljnik magazine received the award for special contribution to the development of the bilateral relationship Le Monde Diplomatique in Serbia. The company Atalian Global Services-Mopex Belgrade is the winner in the category of Innovation for the project i-Report, a Web application to monitor service quality. The company Coface is this year’s winner in the category of Corporate Social Responsibility for the certification programme for small and medium enterprises and it got the prize Excellent SME.
During the evening the guests were charmed and cheered by tricks of Igor Trifunov, our greatest magician, and a French singer Geraldine Lefrene had a premiere in Serbia and she, with her musicians presented a new album Rue Verlaine.
