Novi Sad Mayor Hosts Ambassador Hill

Ambassador Christopher Hill met with the Mayor of Novi Sad, Miloš Vučević. After the working meeting, they walked to the murals “Hair” and “Mihajlo Pupin”, which are located in the center of Novi Sad, and which were created as a part of the program “Days of American Culture”. Ambassador Hill and Mayor Vučević also visited the Creative District, where American artist and Paralympian Gregory Burns is leading a mural-making workshop as part of the same event.

“We also talked about further cooperation between Novi Sad and the American Embassy, and I am very pleased that our conversation was correct, decent and constructive”, said mayor Vučević. Ambassador Hill thanked the mayor for the warm welcome and praised the European spirit of Novi Sad. Together we have visited the art created as a product of the “Days of American Culture” in previous years and I have only words of praise for the cooperation of artists from our two countries. “Looking to the future – Novi Sad is a city that warmly and widely accepts all who come to it and is a real inspiration for everyone else,” said the ambassador.
