The Consulate of Hungary in the Republic of Serbia, headed by an honorary consular officer, Prof. Dr. Milan Radunovic, was formally established in Kragujevac, on 22 March 2018. In line with the established diplomatic procedure, an official opening ceremony was organized, and the letter of commission and the exequatur were exchanged. On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Acting Assistant Minister of Consular Affairs, Ambassador Aca Jovanovic, handed the exequatur to the Honorary Consul, admitting his to the exercises of his functions in the territory of the Sumadija, Pomoravlje, Rasina and Branicevo Districts. The ceremony marked the commencement of work of the Hungarian Consulate.
