The project „Promotion of renewable energy and energy efficiency in Serbia” financed by German Federal Ministry of economic cooperation and development (BMZ) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit – GIZ is looking for a private partner to jointly implement a solar PV installation.
Together with the main political partner, Ministry of mining and energy, the project is supporting implementation of prosumer approach in Serbia, through development and upgrading of the legislative framework, implementation of pilot projects and development of guidelines, as well as organizing capacity building measures for different stakeholder groups.
In order to enhance development of solar PV projects in companies, showcase benefits from generating electricity for own needs and to create acceptance of the technology and prosumer approach, the GIZ project is piloting a solar PV installation for proving the technical and financial feasibility of prosumer models. The purpose of the pilot project is to analyse the existing procedures for becoming solar PV prosumer in Serbia, document experiences from installation of solar PV plant and contribute to improvement and upgrade of procedures and steps in self-consumption of electricity.
The GIZ project is looking to support a pilot project of solar PV installation in commercial sector/company that is sharing the same values towards using of renewable energy as GIZ. The pilot project should serve as on the ground experience for developing of step-by-step Guideline for companies – How to become a prosumer? From that perspective, already started or implemented solar PV installations won’t be considered.
The pilot project will be implemented in cooperation with private partner/company and co-financed by GIZ project in the amount of up to 25.000 EUR.
To apply for the selection procedure, companies will need to send a project proposal on a predefined application format, with detailed description of planned investment in solar PV, as well as why their project should be selected for co-financing by GIZ. Based on pre-defined criteria, the GIZ project team will select a partner for implementation of the solar PV pilot project.
Timeline for implementation of the project is September 2023 – April 2024. Only one pilot project will be implemented.
Interested companies should send their project proposals with other documents not later than 20th August 2023 until 23:59h. All applications received after the mentioned period won’t be considered.
