Denmark Supports Serbia Digitization Efforts

Together with other Nordic Embassies in Belgrade and under the auspices of the Nordic Council of Ministers, the Embassy of Denmark organized a seminar 'NorDig - Nordic Experiences in Digitalization' on October 9th in the Yugoslav Film Archives.

The exhibition “BELGRADE – HELSINKI, 90 Years of Diplomatic Relations”

The exhibition “BELGRADE – HELSINKI, 90 Years of Diplomatic Relations” presents the history of relations between the two countries through official documents that marked the most important events. A special focus of the exhibition is on the friendship of two presidents, Joseph Broz Tito and Urho Kekkonen. President Kekkonen has visited Yugoslavia four times, while President Tito has visited Finland twice. The exhibition was organised by the Yugoslavia Archives, while the Urh Kekkonen Archive in Niinikoski, Finland, provided photographs taken during Kekkonen’s visits to Yugoslavia in 1963 and 1975. The exhibition will be opened to visitors every weekday until the end of October 2019.

Time devoted to social activities and education of persons with disabilities strengthens their inclusion into society Lessons in playing chess were held on November 7, 2019 in a day care center for persons with disabilities Sveta Anastazija in Sremska Mitrovica. Social activities, time spent together and creative plays support inclusion of persons with cognitive or physical disabilities, but also show the multitude of their talents and interests. What are the rules of chess? Which moves can horse make and how protects the king? These were some of questions beneficiaries were curious to know, before the first round started. The President of Serbia congratulated everyone on Europe Day, reminding them that, on the same day, we were also marking Victory Day and thus remembering the huge sacrifices made in the Second World War. Ambassador and Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia, H.E.
