Nordic experiences in the circular economy
Embassies of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, with the support of the Nordic Council of Ministers launched the project “Boosting circular economy in Serbia – Nordic experiences” on 9.9.2021. The project was announced during the reception in the garden of the Residence of the Ambassador of Norway, H. E. Jorn Gjelstad
Embassies of the Nordic countries, co-ordinated by Finland, aim to support Serbia in the continuation of the implementation of principles of circular economy, to share the experiences of their countries, and to raise awareness of local partners about the importance and benefits of circular economy, which affects individuals, companies and the society as a whole.

Belgian Residence in Belgrade-A building of interesting history
The building has been constructed by the Obrenović family, at the end of the 19th century. It became the home of Draga Masin wife of King Aleksandar Obrenović.
It is a real privilege to live in the Belgian Residence, right in the center of Belgrade, close to Serbia’s political and socio-cultural heartbeat. Parliament, Presidency, the seat of Government and City Hall are within walking distance. This also gives me the luxury to leave my car behind, a modest contribution to a healthier Belgrade.

Diplomacy has been in a state of flux for centuries. Who needs diplomats when you have the telegraph/the television/the internet? In Moscow in 1993, to find out the latest on the putsch shaking the city, we turned to the live pictures on CNN.
Like most work, diplomacy is about making the best possible decisions based on the best possible understanding of the issues. Priorities will evolve. But the need to have diplomats who understand countries, multilateral organisations and the people who make both tick will never change.
Tips on being a diplomat? I’m fond of the rule of three.
Be expert, whether in languages, cultures, geographies or other skills eg economics.
Be wise. See your core task as knowing people, understanding them and building relationships of influence.

D&C Walking Dinner with the Mayor of Belgrade
Diplomacy&Commerce magazine and Color Media Communications organized an event titled “Walking Dinner with the Mayor of Belgrade” in cooperation with the City of Belgrade, for representatives of the diplomatic core in Belgrade.
The goal was to introduce the guests to the rich culture and history of our capital, and they had the opportunity to see parts of Belgrade in a completely different light, in an informal atmosphere and accompanied by a tour guide, and to visit restaurants woven in the capital city’s rich history.

Days of Slovak Culture in Serbia
Opening ceremony of the „Days of Slovak Culture in Serbia“ and the opening of the „Exhibition of Art Glass by Ján Zoričák“ on September 8, at 7:00 p.m. at the ULUS Gallery in Belgrade.
Ján Zoričák (born 13.11.1944 in Ždiar, Slovakia) belongs to the leading representatives of contemporary art glass on an european and world scale. He was studying from 1959 – 1963 at Glass and Applied Arts College in Železný Brod in Czech Republic and from 1963 – 1969 at University of Applied arts in Prag (department of glass).
